About the farmer…
Sugar Grove Farm is now home to fourth generation farmers and has been in the family for over 60 years. Darren, his wife Teresa, and their son Hunter now manage the farm and working together is one of their favorite things about farming. Farming has taught the Thorne family a lot of valuable lessons including a willingness to make mistakes and learn from them and the importance of being open to change as things don’t always go according to plan. They value the traceability that Farmer Focus provides with the Farm ID program and how that can help consumers learn more about where their food comes from. In addition to chickens, Sugar Grove is also home to cattle and sheep.
