Up the road from the North River in beautiful Bridgewater, Virginia, sits Rolling Acres farm, consisting of two chicken houses that back up to a lovely grove of trees.
Jordan and Rhonda Witmer both grew up on farms and are now teaching that lifestyle to their young son, Brendan. Jordan started Rolling Acres Farm after purchasing some land from his parent’s farm that included two chicken houses. It’s a family effort when it’s time to prepare for a new flock and throughout the growing season, with everyone pitching in to help care for the chickens.
The Witmers enjoy a large garden that keeps them in fresh produce all summer long. For fun, they like to go canoeing and trout fishing, and family camping adventures allow them to relax and reconnect with one another. This generational farm has a bright future, and we at Farmer Focus feel lucky to partner with them!
