Farming runs deep in Lacey’s family. With her Dad and uncle as current farming partners with Farmer Focus, Lacey was proud to take on the opportunity as a 3rd-generation farmer to manage Silver Creek 2 in the Shenandoah Valley. She is a veterinary assistant program graduate and cares deeply about the humane treatment of animals. She says, “Animals deserve to be treated humanely, and it’s our responsibility always to treat them with compassion”. Her care and attention to detail have led to her proudest moment as a farmer: seeing her chickens grow and flourish.
As a young farmer, Lacey continues to rely on her Dad and fellow farmers for growth and guidance. You can find her baking, shopping, or gardening when she is not on the farm.
